Mid-Year Population Estimates (MYPE) of South Africa (2013-2022)

This dataset contains the mid-year population estimates (by age group and sex) for South Africa, from 2013 to 2022. The cohort-component methodology is used to estimate the mid-year populations of South Africa. NOTE: The Mid-Year estimates 2022 series does not include inputs from the 2022 Census. Census data will be released in 2023.
